As a key member of our senior management team, you will report to the Group Chief Executive and will be responsible for the overall vision and strategic direction of HR and People Development within the Group.
We are looking for an exceptional strategic leader who can develop our reputation as the employer of choice in the education sector. Someone who can lead the creation of an outstanding approach to the recruitment, management and development of circa 6000 employees and command the respect of head teachers and other senior professionals, as well as leading our HR and people development teams with credibility. We are looking to develop an organisation with a strong sense of shared purpose and a mission to offer outstanding education to young people and bring out ‘the best in everyone’. As our new Director of People, you will be crucial to making this a reality.
Whether you have gained experience in a similar HR leadership role in a complex organisation, or offer strategic leadership within the education sector, you will be MCIPD qualified, with significant understanding of people management and development at a strategic level. Your ability to work effectively with individuals across the organisation and beyond, to challenge where necessary, and to promote a culture of learning, integrity, moral purpose and high standards will be key.
Whilst this role will be primarily based at our Central Office in Oundle, Northamptonshire, given the national remit of the post there is flexibility with regard to location.
