Taunton School appoints new Foundation Director

Taunton School has appointed Jack Clark as the new Foundation and Alumni Director.
The role of the foundation is to engage a global community of Old Tauntonians, parents and friends to support children at Taunton School by raising funds for bursaries and capital projects.

Jack currently holds the role of Development Director at Emmauel School in Claphan, London where he has overseen the number of donor funded means-tested bursaries quadruple and significant growth in alumni participation.

Previous to this role, he was the first permanent employee at the education charity United World Schools. There he grew annual income from partners from £23,000 to £1million enabling 24,000 previously out-of-school children from Cambodia, Myanmar and Nepal to access education.

He is also a qualified teacher, having taught Geography, Citizenship and PSHCE to secondary school children in Croydon as part of the Teach First programme.

Jack says of his new role: “I am really excited about joining Taunton School in September. The school has a wonderful reputation, and I am looking forward to meeting the staff, pupils and Old Tauntonians.”

Lee Glaser, Headmaster at Taunton School, says: “We are thrilled that Jack will be joining our team in the autumn. His passion for education is closely aligned with our vision of widening the accessibility of a Taunton School education.”
