Reading School is delighted to announce the appointment of Mr Ashley Robson to the position of Principal. Mr Robson will succeed the current Principal, Mr John Weeds, who is leaving the School at the end of the summer term to take up the position of Head Teacher at Cranbrook School in Kent.
Mr Robson has been Vice-Principal of Reading School since 2005 and teaches history. He previously worked at Aylesbury Grammar School and the Royal Grammar School, High Wycombe. Since joining Reading School, Mr Robson has played an integral role in the life of the school. He has led on curriculum review and development, and in developing external relationships, locally with East Reading primary schools, and internationally with schools in Denmark and China, including the prestigious Shanghai High School.
Mr Robson was awarded his National Professional Qualification for Headship in 2007 and an MBA from the Institute of Education, London in 2011 with a dissertation on Leadership Development in England and Denmark. He is a Foundation Governor of an Infant School and a trustee of Reading Foundation
