New Head Master of Brighton College Abu Dhabi announced 10 Mar 2016

Brighton College has announced the appointment of Simon Corns as Head Master of Brighton College Abu Dhabi from January 2017.

Simon Corns was educated at Merchant Taylors', Crosby and Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge where he read Modern and Medieval Languages. His first teaching post was at Merchant Taylors', Northwood, followed by positions as Head of Languages at Arnold School, Blackpool and St Albans School in Hertfordshire where he was appointed Second Master (senior Deputy Head) in 2000.

Since 2007 he has been Headmaster of Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School in Blackburn, a co-educational 4-19 school which in 2014 converted to Free School status. Simon is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a Patron of the Independent Schools Modern Languages Association.
