New Head appointed of the Dragon School 7 Jul 2016

Chairman of Governors of Dragon School - Professor Roger Ainsworth - announced that Dragon Governors have appointed Crispin Hyde-Dunn, currently Headmaster of Abingdon Preparatory School, to be the next Head of the Dragon, taking up the post in September 2017 when John Baugh steps down after 15 years’ inspirational leadership.

The Governors said: "We are excited that we have found someone who understands the make-up and inheritance of the Dragon, and at the same time will take us forward to the next stage of our journey with imagination, energy, enthusiasm and commitment. We believe he will come to be seen as the outstanding Prep School Head of his generation."

Crispin said: “It is a great privilege to be invited to become the next Head of the Dragon. The school is world renowned with a distinguished history and one which enjoys a unique quality and vibrancy among its pupils, parents and staff. I am very excited to have the opportunity to lead such a distinctive and talented school community, building upon its tremendous successes, as well as continuing to evolve the school, as we anticipate the changing needs in the years ahead.”
