New Chief Executive joins Willow 4 Sep 2013

A new Chief Executive joined Willow - the only UK charity supporting seriously ill 16 to 40 year olds by providing unique and positive Special Days.

David White took over the role from September 2, succeeding Jeff Kaye who has been in post since early 2012 and has strengthened and consolidated Willow’s operations.  Jeff is leaving to pursue other interests in the voluntary sector.

David’s appointment will oversee the growth of Willow’s already successful service which will see the Charity provide its 10,000th Special Day later this year.

David is an experienced charity chief executive with 25 years voluntary sector experience as a senior manager, trustee and chair. His roles have included leading two hospices, bringing significant experience of well-being and care for those with serious illness to Willow.

David said, “Willow is a unique charity, focused on providing special days, founded by two very special people and with a with an excellent team of staff, volunteers and supports who make the work of the charity possible. I am delighted to be joining Willow to lead the work started by Bob and Megs Wilson and to continue from the excellent stewardship of Jeff Kaye.”
