University Alliance announce global search for new Chief Executive
After five years of establishing and leading University Alliance to become a powerful and respected lobbying organisation Libby Hackett, Chief Executive, is moving on to take up an exciting opportunity with Perrett Laver, joining their Global Higher Education team.
University Alliance has initiated a global search for a new Chief Executive that will deliver an ambitious and transformational agenda over the next 5 years.
Professor Steve West, Vice Chancellor of UWE and Chair of University Alliance, said:
“Libby leaves University Alliance in great health with collective strength, a strong team and a clear and ambitious vision for the future. This is to her credit. We will be undertaking a global search to find someone who will help achieve a paradigm shift for University Alliance in its next phase, with a stronger focus on our position and profile in the market. We are excited about the future potential of this organisation and what can be achieved through collective endeavour.”
Libby Hackett, Chief Executive of University Alliance, said:
“Having first set up the University Alliance office five years ago, I am proud to be leaving a successful organisation driven by a strong sense of collective vision and an outstanding team. I am deeply thankful for the support and wisdom of the Vice Chancellors and many others who have enabled University Alliance to become a trusted, influential body. We have always taken a constructive, solution-based approach across Government and have been rewarded for doing so. University Alliance is in a position to build on its successes, particularly in developing a stronger national and global market profile for an outstanding group of universities.
“I am delighted to be joining Perrett Laver as their Global Higher Education business goes from strength to strength. I am deeply committed to the success of universities, which depends on outstanding leadership in all senior positions across these institutions. I am excited about the new challenges involved alongside the experience I hope to bring to this role.”
Dan Perrett and Simon Laver, co-founders of Perrett Laver, said:
“We are delighted to welcome someone of Libby’s calibre and reputation to our Global Higher Education team at Perrett Laver. Libby will play a major role in our ambitions for the organisation, particularly within two of our key geographic markets, Europe Middle East and Africa and Asia-Pacific. We are especially pleased to bring into our firm Libby’s expertise and insight, alongside her deep passion for serving the Global Higher Education sector.”
