Kate Hunter, currently Executive Director of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) Europe, will be joining Perrett Laver as a Partner in the Global Higher Education Practice. Kate will start in early March 2015.
Professor Dame Alison Richard, Chair of Perrett Laver's Advisory Board, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Kate to Perrett Laver. She brings to us an extraordinary wealth of experience in higher education both having been in a senior management position at a research intensive multi-faculty institution for seven years and, latterly, Executive Director of CASE Europe for six years. Kate is highly regarded as a senior advisor to numerous institutions and education bodies; we are enormously pleased to have secured her as a member of our Partner team."
Dan Perrett and Simon Laver, Directors and co-founders said “We are delighted to announce that Kate Hunter is to join Perrett Laver as a Partner. Kate brings a wealth of leadership experience, most recently having been Executive Director for CASE Europe. Kate's depth of knowledge of our practice areas, and evident her deep passion for the crucially important role of universities and charitable bodies within society, will be enormously valuable. Her experience in helping to lead and shape CASE in Europe will also be extremely important as Perrett Laver continues to expand its work within continental Europe, alongside our existing work in the Americas and Asia Pacific.”
Kate said “My six years as Executive Director of CASE Europe put me at the heart of educational advancement in the UK, Europe and Africa, giving me invaluable insight to the public value of our increasingly global higher education sector. It has been an honour to serve CASE’s member institutions by fostering peer relationships, raising standards, sharing best practice and professionalising advancement. I have relished my advocacy role in building knowledge of the increasingly significant place of advancement in institutional strategy and leadership. I am excited about bringing these experiences to Perrett Laver’s Global Higher Education Practice and to new opportunities that working in this forward-looking company will bring.”
