JA Europe has appointed Salvatore Nigro as Chief Executive Officer. He will take up his role on 1 February 2020. Salvatore Nigro joins JA Europe after having spent the past twelve years at Education for Employment (EFE). As CEO of EFE-Europe and Vice-President of EFE-Global, Salvatore led EFE's business development, partnership and programme management in Europe to support operations in the Middle East and North Africa. He previously was Director of the International Partnerships and Advocacy Department of the Glocal Forum and worked at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Salvatore is an experienced CEO and I believe he has the capability and talent to lead JA Europe to new heights. He is joining a large, diverse network of 41 top performing JA chapters and will be surrounded by an energetic and highly dedicated team. Salvatore's personal story resonated with Asheesh Advani, CEO of JA Worldwide. "As a member of the JA Worldwide senior leadership team, Salvatore will use his passion for youth employability, his unique voice, and his relevant experience to magnify our impact in Europe and throughout the world."

Of Italian origin, Salvatore holds an MBA from the University of Malta, an MA in International Strategic and Military Studies, and a MA in International Political Science from LUISS University.
