The Royal College of Art has announced the appointment of Christopher Millard as its new Director of Communications and Marketing.Christopher Millard
Currently Director of Press & Communications at the Royal Opera House, Christopher Millard has extensive experience at an executive leadership level. He has spent over 15 years at the Royal Opera House and prior to that he has held senior communications and marketing roles at Glyndebourne, the National Theatre, RSC and also in the commercial theatre and film sector.
Rector of the Royal College of Art, Dr Paul Thompson said: “I am really delighted that Christopher is joining the RCA. Coming from the Royal Opera House, a fellow world class London institution, he brings a wealth of experience to bear on this new role. We’re at a pivotal point in our history, with an ambitious strategic plan to focus our formidable research and teaching talents. I’m confident that Christopher will provide the expertise to lead on evidencing the RCA’s global impact.”
Christopher Millard said: “I am honoured to be taking up this position at such an important time in the Royal College of Art’s history. I have enjoyed meeting new colleagues in recent weeks and look forward to working together in the future, particularly as we begin to bring the new Battersea campus to life.”

Christopher Millard will join the College in January 2017.
