Announcement of new Chief Executive for NTS 27 Nov 2006

The National Trust for Scotland (NTS) has announced the appointment of Mark Adderley as its new Chief Executive. He will commences his role in February 2007.

Adderley, 41, joins the NTS following a successful four years as HR and Business Services Director at Scottish Water. He holds a BA in Production Engineering, an MEng in Manufacturing Engineering from the University of Cambridge, and an MBA from London Business School.

Shonaig Macpherson, Executive Chairman of the National Trust for Scotland, said:

“We are delighted to welcome someone of Mark's calibre to the NTS. The organisation has undergone a period of significant change over the past year and Mark’s unique range of skills will ensure NTS moves forward with confidence. He has proven leadership and organisational management qualities which will prove invaluable in the future.”

Mark Adderley said: “I am really excited about joining the National Trust for Scotland at such an interesting and challenging time for the Trust.”
