Michelle Carlson is the US Director of Mental Health and Suicide Prevention at Movember and has an incredible 20 years of experience in the mental health sector. After joining Movember a couple of months ago, we sat down with Michelle to discuss her ambition at the organisation, the mental health challenges exacerbated by the pandemic and the importance of driving recruitment efforts around our wellbeing.

Luuk Klomp has been appointed director of NWO’s Applied and Engineering Sciences (AES) domain starting 15 January 2022. ‘To further increase the social contribution of groundbreaking research in the applied and engineering sciences. Who wouldn’t want that? I look forward to working on this goal with my passionate colleagues. I believe that my knowledge and experience in public-private research cooperation will come in very handy at NWO.’

With the world’s attention on the UN Climate Change Conference (COP26) in Glasgow, we must consider - how have organisations responded to the need for talent in the sector, and what more needs to be done in the private sector and beyond to ensure that the goal of Net Zero is reached?
