Harrow International has been at the forefront of world-class education in Asia for the past two decades. The group is currently developing an exciting new venture with the establishment of multiple Harrow Innovation Leadership Academies (HILAs) across China and, as part of a long-term partnership with Harrow, Perrett Laver has been appointed to advise on the appointment of three Founding Heads for their new schools in Chongqing, Zhuhai and Nanning.

The University of Cambridge is one of the world’s foremost universities and a renowned centre for research, education and scholarship. Its mission is “to contribute to society through the pursuit of education, learning, and research at the highest international levels of excellence”. Perrett Laver has been a trusted partner of the University of Cambridge on a number of key governance appointments. Since 2012, we have supported the appointment every External Member of the University Council.

In order to address the lack of diversity on sports boards across the UK, Perrett Laver were engaged by Sport England in March 2019 on a two year pilot to identify 140 “board-ready” diverse candidates by 2020, offering them development and exposure to sector wide opportunities, and supporting the sports bodies Sport England fund with their recruitment strategies. Alongside a consortium of partners, Perrett Laver are supporting all candidates in the growing network by providing workshops and webinars, networking, interview and deployment support.

The University of Hong Kong (HKU) is a leading international institution of higher learning in Asia. Serving 28,000 students, the University has 10 faculties and over 140 academic departments and institutes/centres. Its more than 2,000 members of academic staff, many internationally renowned, come from a range of cultural backgrounds. We have supported the university on over 43 roles including the successful appointments of a significant group of returning local talent.

The National Foundation for Educational Research (NFER) is a leading, independent provider of research, assessment and information services in education, training and children’s services. Its authoritative and creative insights offer a unique perspective on today’s education challenges. NFER has a particular focus on ensuring that its work has an impact and aims to be at the heart of evidence-based education. NFER is a registered charity with an income of £11 million a year and 170 staff. We have supported NFER on more than 20 appointments including 10 Board appointments.

World Animal Protection is a global organisation working to protect animals. They have always moved wherever the need for animal protection is greatest – from treating more than 70,000 animals following the Haiti earthquake in 2010, to training vets in Thailand, to ending bear dancing across India in 2012, to investigating animal trafficking in El Salvador. They began lobbying the EU in the 1980s, were given consultative status at the UN in 1981 and by the 1990s had been represented at the Council of Europe. They have grown, and are now focused on protecting more animals in more places. Today, they have regional hubs in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and North America, and offices in 15 countries. Perrett Laver has supported World Animal Protection to appoint 10 Trustees over the past five years as the organisation has shifted its governance model. Additionally, we recently appointed the Chair of the Board, Joanna Kerr.

Monash University is the largest university in Australia as well as a member of the Group of Eight (Go8) leading universities in the country. Although still a young institution, being founded only in 1958, it has reached international prominence for its research and teaching excellence, and is consistently ranked in the top 100 universities worldwide. Seeking to raise its research profile, the Faculty of Education at Monash engaged Perrett Laver to support the recruitment of top research talent into a series of professorships, resulting in five appointments.

Situated in the heart of a beautiful and historic city, the University of Lincoln has established an international reputation for the quality of its teaching and research and has been rated in the top 20 universities in the UK for overall student satisfaction in the National Student Survey 2020 (out of 129 mainstream UK universities). It is listed in the world's top 150 in the Times Higher Education’s (THE) Young University Rankings 2020 and holds a maximum five-star score overall in the QS Stars ratings system of global universities. It features in the QS World University Rankings 2021 of the world's top 1,000 universities. 

The International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) aims to improve the quality of life of individuals by providing and campaigning for sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) through advocacy and services, especially for poor and vulnerable people. A global, member-based federation, it defends the right of all people to enjoy sexual lives free from ill health, unwanted pregnancy, violence and discrimination. Since 2016, Perrett Laver has supported IPPF on an entirely new and restructured leadership team.
