UK Committee on Research Integrity

Appointment of Chair and Members

The UK Committee on Research Integrity (UK CORI) aims to support a thriving and inclusive research system that produces high quality research by embedding high standards of research integrity. The committee will collaborate with, inspire and challenge the sector, with the first members becoming national champions for research integrity; identifying, and working to address, systemic pressures in the UK research system.

UKRI has committed to convene and initially host UK CORI for three years, on behalf of the sector. UK CORI has been established as a free-standing committee to enable it to act independently of UKRI’s internal programme of work.

UK CORI is now seeking to appoint the inaugural chair and founding members who will play a fundamental role in the establishment and development of the committee. We are looking for a chair with a compelling vision for the UK’s research sector and the passion and motivation to be able to influence, inspire and motivate others to share that vision.  They will have extensive research experience and a track record of championing change, as well as a proven ability to influence and build consensus among diverse stakeholders. We are also seeking to appoint a minimum of six members, who will be expected to bring a range of skills and experience from across the research ecosystem. Candidates for these roles will be expected to demonstrate an awareness of current and emerging issues in research integrity, together with a track record of advocating for change.
