Our World of Search
Global development has evolved rapidly. There has been a dramatic rise in the number and diversity of actors seeking to address the complex and urgent issues of poverty, education, health and climate change.
The growth of venture philanthropy and the imperative for sustainable businesses have shifted the flows of capital to developing economies, and challenged many of the previously held assumptions. Donors are driving the improved effectiveness and impact of development assistance, and seeking to stimulate market based solutions to poverty reduction. At the same time, implementing agencies continue to grapple with fundamental issues of downward accountability, legitimacy and the imperative to reconcile increased efficiency with the need to empower local communities. The deepening convergence of non-profit, public and private sector organisations to tackle global societal issues will certainly require new forms of collaboration if they are to achieve sustainable and scalable social change.
Perrett Laver works globally with humanitarian and development NGOs, human rights organisations, public health agencies, microfinance institutions, philanthropic foundations and social enterprises. We focus heavily on attracting the very best southern leaders and, where appropriate, talent from outside the sector. We have conducted searches for the most senior roles within the sector (Trustees and NED, CEO, COO, Functional Directors and Regional Directors) across Africa, South Asia, Asia Pacific, the Arab states and the Americas. The changing nature of global development will require that organisations build diverse teams of world class leaders from a range of professional backgrounds and cultural perspectives. Perrett Laver finds those leaders.
We unashamedly run the practice on a cost recovery basis to provide executive search capacity to the global development sector at heavily reduced fees.
