Overview

Perrett Laver sees post-compulsory education as a vital part of the fabric of our society and a key catalyst for human improvement and economic growth.

Over the years we have deliberately sought to work with clients in the learning and skills arena. If our experiences have taught us one thing, it is that this sector is hugely diverse and cannot be approached with a ‘one size fits all’ mentality.

The challenges faced by different parts of the sector vary wildly and so do the leadership responses they demand. On one end of the spectrum you find large metropolitan Colleges; often now delivering a mixed economy of FE, foundation and HE programmes. On the other end are smaller, more niche, community-based providers; often struggling to attract funding and demonstrate critical mass. These can be focused on apprenticeships, CPD, adult learning, workplace or prison-based training, or other types of non-school, non-university education.

So what unites our clients in this area? It is a conviction that education matters and that it enriches lives.

Whether working on Principal/Chief Executive appointments, finding Vice-Principals or key functional Directors, or looking for new Governors/Trustees, Perrett Laver shares that conviction. It is our belief that this is a sector in which visionary leadership can have an enormous impact.
