Kellett School, The British International School in Hong Kong, appoints new Principal to start in the 2019-20 academic year 11 Jun 2018

His leadership skills and strategic thinking makes him ideally suited to become Principal & CEO at Kellett School, The British International School in Hong Kong.”

Mark Steed has been Director of the not-for-profit Jumeirah English Speaking School (“JESS”) in Dubai for the past three years. Judged ‘outstanding’ by the British Schools Overseas Inspectorate, Mark is responsible for three schools and a total of 2,200 students aged 3 to 18. Prior to JESS, Mark was Principal of Berkhamsted Schools Group in Hertfordshire and Headmaster of Kelly College in Devon. He previously taught at The Leys School (Cambridge), Radley College and at Oundle, where he was also Housemaster and coached the First XV. He has Masters degrees from Cambridge and Nottingham, as well as an MSc in Management from Ashridge-Hult Business School. He is recognized globally as a leading educational thinker and speaker and has an extensive professional network. He is currently Chairman of British Schools in Dubai and Secretary of the Headmasters’ Conference International Division (HMC).
