Dr Caesar Mwangi appointed Chief Executive of SunnyMoney 27 May 2015

Caesar is the new CEO of SunnyMoney, the largest distributor of Solar Lanterns in Africa. He previously worked as the Africa Regional Director for the Global Village Energy Partnership (GVEP-International) which promotes access to renewable energy in Africa and also as the Managing Director of Sasini Ltd, a publicly listed Agribusiness Company based in Kenya.

Prior to this he worked in the fields of Management consulting with Deloitte and Touche in Nairobi and Johannesburg and in Risk Management with the Consultative Group in International Agricultural Research (CGIAR). Caesar also founded Maisha Consulting in Johannesburg where he served a range of clients in initiatives to improve their Organizatioal effectiveness and during this time he was accredited as an advisor for the Investors in People Management standard and also served on the panel of Governance Consultants for the UK’s department for International Development (DFID).

He has a PhD in Organizational Performance and Change Management from the University of Johannesburg and an MBA from Wits Business School in Johannesburg.

He Chairs the Board of The Institute for Social Accountability (TISA) the Kianda School in Nairobi and is the Vice Chairman of the Strathmore University Council. He has a deep interest in the development of personal and organizational effectiveness. He is married to Anne Wangui and they have five children.
