The University currently seeks a Director of Asset and Space Management. Reporting to the Director of Estates and managing a team of circa 65 staff, the Director will lead the development of strategy and policy for the effective utilisation of space associated with Oxford’s estates assets, as well as the University’s strategic acquisitions and disposals. Overseeing this portfolio across a highly diverse estate, from medieval libraries and sophisticated laboratories to the University Parks, this key post offers an exciting opportunity to support the ongoing development of one of the world’s leading higher education institutions.
Candidates will be highly experienced and professionally-qualified senior leaders, with a high level of relevant technical and management expertise. They will also possess the ability to communicate effectively with, and gain the trust and confidence of, a wide range of stakeholders both within the University and externally, such that they will be attuned to, and adept at managing, the sensitivities arising from Oxford’s unique architectural heritage and its international profile.
