Our World of Search
Perrett Laver's passion is in helping organisations that have a positive and transformative impact in society, be they universities, schools, NGOs, charities, public sector bodies or private sector organisations. However, the civil society focus of our work transcends the clients we serve and as a firm we seek to exemplify best practice as responsible suppliers, employers and members of our community.
Perrett Laver is fully committed to upholding the principles of equality and diversity through all its practices, believing this can only be achieved by recognising the unique value of every individual. Throughout each selection process we work to advise clients on equal opportunities and to monitor the process from an equal opportunities perspective.
We are acutely aware of the importance of having a diverse workforce, and strive to advise clients in this direction. We are supportive of any practice that seeks to aid this, for example the Two Ticks Interview Scheme, and work with our clients to incorporate such initiatives into our processes. Perrett Laver's work is fully compliant with the Equality Act 2010 and supportive of the Executive Search Firms Voluntary Code of Conduct, released July 2011.
As part of our commitment to support our clients in maximising their societal impact through appointing outstanding leaders, Perrett Laver undertakes a number of pro-bono and cost recovery assignments every year. The aim is to support organisations and sectors which would not traditionally have the resources to access executive search services.
We are also dedicated to minimising our environmental impact, through various initiatives to reduce the carbon footprint of our business and our supply chain.
Perrett Laver colleagues are actively encouraged to share their skills via volunteering opportunities and are awarded a number of 'volunteer leave' days to donate their time. On average, six weeks of colleague time is volunteered every year across a range of volunteering projects. We also have a number of colleagues who sit on the Boards of a variety of educational and charitable organisations with on-going time commitments made outside of office hours. In addition, the firm also undertakes and supports fundraising activities for national and local charities through sponsorship and events.
We remain committed to developing and strengthening our corporate responsibility initiatives to ensure they are at the cutting edge of responsible business activities. In 2011, Perrett Laver became a member of Business in the Community to help support us in this goal. Put simply, Perrett Laver cares about helping to create a sustainable future.
